    Handrail | Black & Oak - Dome End Caps

    Our Black & Oak Handrail is the best of both worlds and offers a sleek alternative to standard handrails, yet keeping hold of its vintage look. The handrail itself is

    from solid Oak, machined into a perfect 45mm diameter handrail. The Oak is then finished off with black powder brackets & matching flat ends.

    We leave our handrails unfinished so the customer can add a finish of their choice, however they can be fitted as delivered. It is highly recommended that these

    timber rails are not fitted externally. The photos on our website have been applied with one coat of Danish oil.

    Including suitable screws and wall plugs.

    Lengths below and including 2m have 2no brackets.

    Lengths below and including 3m have 3no brackets.

    Lengths below and including 4m have 4no brackets.

    All handrails will be delivered in one complete length for all our black & oak handrails, so please ensure you can get the larger sections through doors and around corners etc.

    Our wall brackets and end caps are also in a 320 grit finish and really set the handrail off and give it that impressive look, our fittings are imported from Italy and

    are of the highest quality on the market.

    All countersunk brass wood screws are supplied with our items so there are no extra costs when it comes to you fitting the item.

    Our oak handrails can be easily cut down by the customer or we will be happy to do it, when ordering choose the next size up and then get in touch with your

    cutting requirements.

    All items are made in the UK in the West Midlands.

    We use a blend of beeswax and carnauba wax, two of the finest waxes known to man. Our wax is designed to protect raw wood and can be applied to virtually any existing finish. The wax is hand applied by the craftsmen in our workshop. The wax adds to resilience of the wood which makes for easy cleaning. We recommend applying a clear coat of wax once a year to keep your item looking amazing!

    The wax enhances the natural grain whilst protecting the wood

    Once applied, the timber soaks up the wax and enriches its natural features. The wax not only adds to the resilience of the shelves, but it also makes for easy cleaning as they are water-resistant. We recommend applying a clear coat of wax once a year to keep your item looking amazing!

    The wood is a natural material, so it may absorb the wax slightly differently across different pieces.

    Raw Steel – Dark Grey in colour and built using robust malleable iron fittings and mild Steel pipe. Our Raw Steel is coated with a protective lacquer so although not suitable for outdoors it is designed to last a lifetime indoors.

    Brass – We only use the highest quality Italian Brass fittings and solid Brass pipe on our furniture. Brass will not corrode and is great for outdoor and indoor use. To provide a full range of sizes for our brass pipework, we cut and thread pipes from longer lengths for specific sizes. This can add a few extra days to the lead time to produce fully brass items. 

    Copper - All our Copper products are protected with a hardwearing clear lacquer to ensure they keep their natural glow. Copper will not corrode and is great for outdoor and indoor use. If used outside be sure to treat it with care to ensure it keeps the natural glow.

    Industrial Silver – Silver in colour, our Galvanised Steel range has been dipped and treated with Zinc to make it water and rust-resistant. The galvanised coating is up to 10 times more resistant to abrasion than standard powder coating. Perfect for indoor and outdoor use.

    Stainless Steel – The pièce de resistance of metal, Silver and reflective in colour. Stainless Steel is made by adding Chromium to Molten Steel making it incredibly resistant to rust from water and salt water than galvanised Steel. Perfect for indoor and outdoor use, your stainless-steel piece of furniture will literally last forever.

    Powder Coated – A powder-based paint that is sprayed onto the Steel. It is chip resistant and helps prevent water corrosion. The paint doesn’t chip, crack and peel like traditional paint making it more durable. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
